Are you looking for comfort? Are you looking for a place to take a load off while you are at the fair? Are you looking for something to take home with you that you can actually use?
I have been to very few Renaissance Festivals that have not had a Sky Chairs booth. To imagine a Sky Chair, think about a hammock and a recliner having a baby. The result of that blessed union would be a Sky Chair. Comfortable does not really cover what the chairs feel like. They wrap around your body like a glove. They support every inch of your body and unlike a hammock you are not left with waffle-butt at the end of the day. Plus the Sky Chair has a foot rest that is adjustable. There is nothing quite like stretching out in a Sky Chair.
Now, I will admit that for a while I thought that part of the wonder of the Sky Chair was the fact that you are at a Ren Fair and you are tired. Because you are tired, it doesn’t really matter what the chair feels like, it is a chair and it is just nice to sit… somewhere. Not so. I tried one at a speciality hiking store. I was completely rested. I sat in the Sky Chair and had that same sensation of sinking into butter. Firm, glove-like butter. I loved it. I am now saving for a Sky Chair. I haven’t decided where it is going to go yet but I needs, no – must have one (and no this sentence is not a typo).
