Andrus of the Bedlam Bards takes on the 10 Questions

andrus10
1.  What is your favorite word?

Whoo boy, that depends on what I’m doing.  “Shiney” comes to mind for some reason; also “Yes” as in “yes we (I) can work with you”

2.  What is your least favorite word?

That is a toss up between “can’t” and “should” (and I’m not copying Cedric here).  “Can’t” is showing an unwillingness to even try; and “Should” is a guilt word to manipulate people and I don’t like any kind of manipulation.

3.  What turns you on?

As “Andrus of the Bedlam Bards” – an audience that is really into the show – people that “get it” and catch the sometimes off the wall things that go on – like Hawke and Cedric throwing out a song mid set I haven’t even heard before (or for a number of years) with maybe just a quick look at Hawkes left hand to see the chords to expect!
As a person – intelligence without being full of yourself!

4.  What turns you off?

As “Andrus of the Bedlam Bards” – People totally ignoring what is going on during a set.  If you are there to visit with your friends, take it someplace else and make room for people that are wanting to be there for the fun!  I guess that applies to a lot of things doesn’t it?
As a person – rudeness

5.  What sound do you love?

Loud applause, laughing and cheering; and people giving individual personal recognition if something touched them.

6.  What sound do you hate?

Silence; or the sound of a belligerent drunk!  (Happy drunks are fun)

7.  What is your favorite curse word?

Frak or Feldercarb.  Strange that one came from the original Battlestar Galactica and the other from the remake of it!

8.  What profession other then your own would you like to attempt?

What I do in “real life” now – a metaphysical mentor and teacher.  I’ve tried several professions (geologist/geophysicist; programmer; small business owner) and this one is one I love.  If not that – tour guide to exotic places where I would get paid (really well) to see really amazing places!

9.  What profession would you not like to do?

Management of any kind.  I’m not a politician and that is what managers too often have to be.

10.  If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates?

“When you have the time I have some ideas I’d like to bounce off of you!”

And with glorious answer to question 10, We have ended another week of 10 Question Tuesday.  Next time you are at the faire and you are being blessed by the music from the Bedlam Bards, stop in and say hey to Andrus.  Don’t ask him to manage anything but make sure to invite him on your next exotic vacation.
